Locked Out of Woocommerce
-
Hi!
I recently decided to transfer my domain: thenectarofthegoddess.com over to Wix. When I was in the middle of this process, I was told in order for the transfer to complete, I had to remove this domain from the Domain section in General Settings within Woocommerce.
In a frenzy to be done with this intimidating transfer process that I didn’t fully understand, I removed the http://www.thenectarofthegoddess.com domain from my General Settings. Woocommerce wouldn’t save the change without a Domain listed. So, I listed another domain that I own, not thinking too much about it. This domain is http://www.hedgecraftmercantile.com
Now, I am unable to login to the backend of my Woocommerce site, and have no idea what to do. The transfer of http://www.thenectarofthegoddess.com to Wix was successful, but I need financial reports and customer information from Woocommerce, the platform we used for the last 2 years.
Please help! Thank you! -
Hi there!
It sounds like you have incorrectly changed the URL on a self-hosted WordPress site. We won’t be able to help you with this since the site is not hosted on our servers, but have a look at this article, it may help to change the URL to be able to access your site again:
https://wordpress.org/support/article/changing-the-site-url/
If that does not help, you can write on the WordPress community forums: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/. In fact, if you search for the issue, it’s possible that someone has already posted a solution for it.
Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers. You can read more about the differences between WordPress.org software and WordPress.com here:
http://wordpress.org/support/ is also a great resource for sites using the open-source WordPress.org software.
