Locked subscription

    My subscription to Current has been locked since September 2. On my Subscription Management page there is a lock icon beside the subscription name (Current). I did not lock it, and don’t know how to get it unlocked. Any suggestions?

    I don’t have a site linked to this WordPress.com account

    Hi there,

    I do not see any sites under your @philipben WordPress.com account when I check on our end. You can confirm by visiting this page: https://wordpress.com/sites.

    Is it possible you created your site under a different login with us or are using another provider like GoDaddy, Bluehost, Hostgator, etc. instead? What is the URL of the site you are needing help with?

    Also are you able to share a link to the page you are seeing this subscription info on so we can visit it directly and see what you are seeing?

    Hi,

    Thank you for replying.

    The site is at https://subscribe.wordpress.com/. When I go there, my subscription list comes up. Below is a copy. The lock icon doesn’t appear in the copy below, but it does when I access the site directly.

    I stopped receiving mailings from Current on Sept. 2. That was about the time I was transferring data from an old computer to a new one. That’s the only thing I can think of that might have caused this problem.

    Today I changed my email address in my profile to see whether that would solve the problem; hence the start date of September 12. It didn’ help.

    Does this shed any light?

    Hi there!

    I tried logging in as you on https://subscribe.wordpress.com/ and I’m not seeing a lock icon before the Current name. Could you please take a screenshot of what you’re seeing? You can upload the screenshot to https://snipboard.io and share the link with us here so that we can check what you’re seeing and advise accordingly.

    Also, has “Current” published anything new after you changed the email address on your account?

    I just tried to share a screenshot to Snipboard…I’m not sure it has come through.

    You might be able to see the strange icon at: [redacted]

    If you can’t see it, could you give me an email address to which I could send a photo of it?

    Current did post yesterday after I changed my email address in my account, but I have received nothing.

    No, that’s not it.

    The icon that appears is an almost complete circle, with a vertical bar extending downward from the top halfway into the circle. There is a small break in the circle just to the left side of the vertical bar.

    The icon does not appear on other blogs to which I’m subscribed.

    On Sept. 9 I did receive a post from one of those other blogs.

    The last post I received from Current was on Sept. 2. And it is the only blog that has that icon.

    This shouldn’t affect your subscriptions, but I can see from your screenshot why you might think so.

    and in your regular feed, but just missing the email?

    Also I noticed 4 days ago we sent a “Confirm your subscription for Current” email — can you click through the link on that?

    Oh — also I took the liberty to check mail logs to see if we have sent notifications. We have: you should have two emails for todays two posts so far. And, your mail server is accepting them. So the settings on this side are okay and confirmed properly.

    Can you try searching your mail for them? For example, this will search your trash, spam, and social folders for the email.
