locking an image

    How can I lock an image I upload on a post so that no one can download it from the site?

    Hi there!

    “Locking” an image as you described is not currently possible on WordPress.com. (In fact, this is extremely difficult, if not impossible, to do on *any* website, even one where you have full control over the server, etc.)

    What I would recommend is using an image editing application on your computer to put a watermark over your images. This way, everyone who downloads them will know they are yours and it will be difficult for others to pass them off as their own.
