Locking profile users email information
-
I have made my blog private to invite co-workers and friends which some may not be computer savy. I have created seperate email accounts and entered them into my blog as contributors. I do not want to provide them with the email accounts because of the possibilty that some may not use or abuse my blog. I would like to lock the contributor’s profile email information, so I may re-assign invitation to another user. Based on the user’s profile information they may be able to change email addresses once they are logged in. I am guessing I would lose control of my blog as being private if a contributor changes the email address before opting out as an active participant. Is there a way to lock the contributor’s email profile information?

What do you mean by a private blog? If you just want to restrict reading access, you don’t have to go to all that trouble.
If you want to allow others to post, then you can add contributors. I think that you are worrying unnecessarily about control of the blog(and making things unnecessarily complicated). A blog contributor (I assume you have them set as an author) doesn’t have the same control of the blog as an administrator. As administrator you can always decide who you want to have author access and not. I’d just invite people with their normal email addresses and then, if you need to in the future, you can remove the author privileges from that account and add others as you want.
And even if you give someone else administrator privileges, as the original owner you still retain ultimate control.
