Lodestar – get rid of header image and site text on certain pages
-
Hello,
I’m wondering if it’s possible to get rid of the header/featured image for specific pages on the lodestar theme?
For instance on my site on the page: parablegarden.ie/placestodiscover
Would it be possible to get rid of the header image (and text) entirely, and just start the page with the text “Places To Discover” on white back ground under the menu.
Or, even better would be the ability to hide the site title and tagline, and have the background image be adjustable to whatever height I like (for instance 200px). What do you think?! :)
Note: Have already found solution to first part of this problem, here: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/remove-site-title-and-tag-line-from-about-page?replies=2
Thanks in advance for your efforts!

Hi, if you wish to make changes to specific pages, you will find a unique page id CSS class in the opening body HTML tag on each page that you can use. On the Places to Discover page, this would be the CSS to hide the title/tagline and featured image.
.page-id-423 .custom-header { display: none; } .page-id-423 .site-content { margin-top: 50px; }If you wish to hide the tagline and title, keep the image and make it shorter, something like this would do it.
.page-id-423 .custom-header .site-branding { display: none; } .page-id-423 .custom-header-image { height: 100%; max-height: 200px; padding: 100px; }To adjust the height, adjust the padding value.
