Lodestar Static front page panel appears at the top other website pages

The image used on the static front page’s first panel appears at the top of all my website pages when I link to them from a menu item. New users will think the links in the menu don’t work if they don’t scroll down. Is there anyway of fixing it so the new window opens at the top of the text?

    Hi,

Here are two ways of resolving the issues that you’ve described:

    1. The fact that your static front page and the other static pages display cropped versions of the same image indicate that all of them are displaying the custom site header image. This is so because no featured images have been set on any of the pages.

That the front panel displays the site header image is to be expected, since the Adding Panels section of the Lodestar theme guide says:

Displays front page featured image or falls back to Custom Header Image.

So simply adding featured images to each page, or at least to each page that isn’t the static front page, will avoid the problem of visitors differentiating between the pages. See the Featured Images support page for relevant information and instructions.

    2.

Is there anyway of fixing it so the new window opens at the top of the text?

As suggested by staff member @kathrynwp in the topic Disable header photo on pages, adding the extension #content to a custom link menu item that links to a page will produce a jump over either the feature image or the header image that lands on the page title. In my tests the results were rather inconsistent. Give it try if you like. You might also try the #main extension as well.

Example: A custom link with the #content extension that is linked to your “Contact Us” page would look like this

Thanks for your response, I had tried the hyperlink #bookmark solution but couldn’t get it to work consistently. However, I will try the featured image solution, if it works it will solve the problem perfectly. Thanks for your help.
