Lodestar Theme – Duplicate homepage template

  Morning,

  I was wondering if it was possible to create a homepage template? I love the look of the homepage and I’d like to be able to use that format on other pages throughout the site. Is this possible?

  Hi there,

  Lodestar automatically activates the front page layout if you set a static page as the front page. It doesn’t make use of a template that you can activate on a per-page basis like the portfolio and testimonial templates, so it’s not possible to use the same layout on other pages as well.

  This also isn’t something you’ll be able to replicate using only custom CSS. You’d need to edit the actual CSS and HTML files, and possibly the JavaScript and PHP files as well, to apply the same layout to other pages, and editing the files like that is not possible on WordPress.com.

  Thanks very much, I’ve decided to switch to Shoreditch theme and start again as I think that will be more suitable. :)
