  hello, my name is Andrew Gulde, i am the owner of the website

  but I cannot log in into my website. i hired someone to work on my website last January but right now he is not cooperating.

  i tried changing the password but it is requiring an OTP which I didn’t set up and I cannot access.

  Hi there:

  To avoid confusion, there are three different “WordPress” at play here:

  1. The free, open-source WordPress software which powers your website.
  2. WordPress.org which is the open-source project that works on the WordPress software and where you can get the software for free to use on your own hosting provider.
  3. WordPress.com which is a managed hosting provider of the WordPress software and with whom you’re contacting now.

  Since your site is not hosted with us, we’re limited in what we can help with and advise. But I can get you pointed in the right direction to get help.

  You would need to reach out to the person who set up your website as they’re the ones who would control your access to the site and is also likely the one controlling your ability to change your password/access. If they’re not cooperating, you should get advice from your own legal counsel for your next steps.
