Log In Inquiry For The Helpers

  Well, since the first attempt at this seems to have been lost, let me try this again.

  For y’all helpers to figure out.

  Recently I had to leave the computer (Windows 10; laptop) for a while. When I returned I found something had happened (?-update). The mouse (touchpad and button) didn’t work. Eventually the cursor materialized, but the button didn’t connect it to anything.

  I couldn’t get to a technician at that point, and in desperation tried the “reset” suggested. Everything I had (like about 900 bookmarks in Firefox) was wiped out and there’s nothing left but Windows 10 (apparently).

  Eventually I found a technician to check it, but he has yet to bring me a hand mouse to try just to be using that computer. While he was here, he did fix an old computer I had that had Windows 7 on it when it collapsed. With some agitation I got it connected to the internet and some sites like email.

  Now, when I go to WordPress, there’s no “log in” button on the page. And, yes, I got in here because I knew you can log in and out in the forums section, but doing so is not my habitual procedure and it’s not comfortable or easy.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  You have to be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard. The Admin login link to the dashboard for every blog hosted by wordpress.COM is:

  http://NAME_OF_BLOG.wordpress.com/wp-admin/

  * You will have to replace “name_of_blog” with the actual blog’s name in that URL.

  I recommend bookmarking that link or memorizing it.

  The current one or the old one?

  There’s a link to the old one which I found somehow. It doesn’t make any difference to me which I use as long as I can get stuff posted.
