Log in issues – premium account

  • Unknown's avatar

I am having log in issues on a different premium account that I made yesterday. I know the account was created, because my bank was charged for the premium upgrade. I created a new account (not this one), made the account, and selected a theme.

However, I did not get the activation email, and this morning, I can’t log in when I wanted to resend the activation email.
My email address/user name isn’t recognized by the log in form.
My URL isn’t recognized by the Account Recovery page.

But when I go to reregister, it tells me that the email is already registered, so it is in the system somewhere.

The email address I registered with that the system shows as registered is (email visible only to moderators and staff). The URL is http://www.fiveoclockflorida.com.

I had to log in with a different account because you can’t even request support without logging, and the log in is the problem. Quite frustrating. Any help would be appreciated.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Just to reply to my own message, the blog I need help with is http://www.fiveoclockflorida.com, not lisarchive, but the system is set up to add that automatically whether it is accurate or not. :/

Just to add more information, when I try to use the Account Recover option it gives an error: “Your contact email is the same as your account – if you can receive emails you should try the password reset form instead.” and will not do the recovery.

When I try the password reset page it gives an error: “Unable to reset password. I’m sorry, but we weren’t able to find a user with that login information.”

I am stuck in a loop with no way to recover and no way to log in.

Hello, I know you guys are swamped and vastly outnumbered, but can I get assistance, please? I would go through the premium support but I can’t log in to do so. I am on a deadline because I have to reverse the charge today if I need to do so, and I can’t afford to pay $100 for a site I can’t use. Thank you for any help.

Pinging again to try to bring this to the top for assistance. Thank you.

Okay, I’ve completely recreated the fiveoclockflorida account, but now I need my premium membership that I paid for yesterday attached to it. How do I go about that?

http://www.fiveoclockflorida.com/ is not hosted by WordPress.COM and there is no there is no domain mapping upgrade for fiveoclockflorida.com.

fiveoclockflorida.com is hosted by Tucows.com Co
    WHOIS
    IP Address: 64.99.80.30
    Name Servers:
    ns1.hover.com
    ns2.hover.com

There is information on how to set up domain mapping in the support documentation. re: mapping to an existing domain from a .wordpress.com blog

WordPress.com does not accept domain transfers but mapping an existing domain is possible. Domain mapping of an existing domain URL that you already own and purchased elsewhere is not done free of charge. You will have to renew the domain name purchase where you made it and the domain mapping purchase here every year.

Mapping an existing domain costs $13. annually and a domain name purchase and domain mapping are included in the Premium ujpgrade bundle.

In order to map to a domain one must have an underlying .wordpress.com sub-domain blog to map from and it does not matter what that underlying .wordpress.com URL is. It does not have to match the domain URL.

If you have registered a .wordpress.com blog you log in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered the WordPress.COM blog, and as you own a domain URL already, you can see here for mapping an existing domain. http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

It can take between 24 – 72 hours for domain name propagation to take place throughout the internet. You can view the DNS changes here > http://www.whatsmydns.net/ What’s important during that stage is to be patient.

I cannot see anywhere you stated what this new username account you registered is so I tagged this thread for Staff assistance. Please subscribe to it so you are notified when they respond. To subscribe look in the sidebar of this thread, find the subscribe to topics link and click it.

    @timethief,

Thank you for your response. I purchased the premium upgrade bundle for the fiveoclockflorida WP ID in order to be transferred to WP. I was charged $99 (I can provide proof to staff). However, since the premium information did not correctly get connected to the fiveoclockflorida account, I can’t access the premium support to have them review the charge or properly connect the account.

I am subscribed to the thread as suggested.

    Thank you.

Just pinging again on this because the $99 charge has been fully processed by the bank but it the premium membership isn’t attached to my account fiveoclockflorida, so I am out the money with no benefit.

I need to either have staff connect them or reverse the charge by Monday.
