Log in not working when trying to edit site

I am having trouble logging in when editing my site. I have changed the password and it works when I log in on the normal log in page but when I hit edit it asks me to log in again and it’s at this point it keeps telling me my password is incorrect.
Would be grateful for any help to solve this issue.

Your site is not hosted on WordPress.com, but using the open source WordPress.org software at another hosting provider. We’re only able to help with sites hosted on our servers at WordPress.com.
You have that site connected here using the Jetpack plugin, which allows you to make certain changes via your WordPress.com username account. But to access the dashboard directly you need to log in using your admin username and password for the site. Those are completely different from the username and password you use to log into your WordPress.com account, and would have been created when you first installed WordPress at your host.
