Also, does it have anything to do with this? https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/strange-background?replies=10#post-1814080

@justjennifer, sure looks like the same issue.
Can you capture the entire HTML sourcecode for the page as it appears to you now and send it to me via email with my name in the subject line?
-
Will do, but it seems this is happening in Chrome, but not in Firefox.
Clicking on the WordPress.com logo/link in the blue bar in Firefox, brings me to the New Dash with a bar with working links to Reader/Stats/My Blogs/Freshly Pressed (screenshot)

Stranger still, I just noticed that the screenshot I provided in that other thread was also taken in Chrome! /scratching head

@justjennifer, thanks to your code, our folks think they were able to find the issue and resolve it. Could you please clear your cache and WP cookies and reload the page and let me know if it’s working for you now?
-
For others, you may need to clear both your browser cache AND WordPress.com cookies to fix this issue.

@justjennifer, you did a good job with this. Not only do I appreciate it, but the developer who was able to use your code to fix the issue sent his kudos as well. :)

I have cleared my cache for Mozilla and for Internet Explorer. I am still having the exact same problem as everyone else. I also can access my dashboard like every other time. I can only get to my dashboard now by going to the support section on Facebook and going to the support pages and then logging in. Although the last time I did this, it didn’t work.
-
@pavanneh-Has this resolved for you since your above posting? There was a test log-in page which was in use for about 48 hours and which brought you directly to your primary site’s dashboard after logging in.
If this isn’t resolved for you after clearing your browser cache and cookies, what page are you trying to log in from? Please post the exact URL here.
@jackiedana-You’re welcome. :)

I’m sorry you’re still having this problem. Please try clearing your WordPress.com browser cookies as well as your cache. Please let me know if that helps.
-
I was able to fix it by deleting all of my cookies and Cache. I had forgotten about the Google Chrome account Cache and Cookies. If you use multiple accounts you have to make sure that you clear ALL the accounts cookies and caches.
-
Well, to be fair, you don’t need to clear non-WordPress.com cookies, but I’m glad it’s working for you now.
