log-in problem

  I’m trying to post a comment on a UK WordPress blog and cannot log in b/c my user ID has been declared “invalid.” What’s the problem?

  When you say a UK wordpress blog do you mean a blog that’s self hosted and running free software from wordpress. org ? If that is the case then that blog will not be hosted by wordpress. com and your login will not work.

  It would be helpful if you provide the url to the blog you are referring to. Without it we can only speculate.

  That blog is self-hosted and as TT said above, your wordpress.COM login will not work.

  I suspect the OP is referring to OpenID. Which can sometimes be a problem with non-wordpress.com blogs.

  No, 1tess. If you click on the link, you will see that the blog in question requires being logged in to wordpress.ORG in order to post a comment.
