Log in to comment??? Why?

  I have saved all of my preferences to allow people to comment on my posts. It is giving readers “you must log in to wordpress” to comment. Why? If I approve anyone to comment without an email why can’t they just comment?

  In your dashboard look at Settings>Discussion>Before a comment appears. Uncheck any options/restrictions that might be checked.

  Also – under Settings>General – uncheck the Membership box (“Users must be registered and logged in to comment”)

  I think they should move this setting to the discussion settings.
