Log-out button for password protected pages
-
I want to password protect a couple of pages for my local hunting teams’ home page (right now whole page is private) in WordPress. I know how to add a password, but my problem is I want people to be able to log out afterwards, I don’t want wp to store the password. How can I make this possible? Shortly, I want a log-out button added somewhere, is that possible?
To keep the whole page private is not an option, both because there are mostly elder people who are going to use the page, and I want to keep it simple. Though there aren’t any top-secret info, but still – a little privacy is needed.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

That is not possible.
WordPress will prompt you for the password on your initial visit to a protected post. After entering the password that first time, WordPress will securely store the password with the browser you entered it with so you won’t have to enter it again. http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-visibility/#password-protect-a-post
Same applies to pages. In other words, if they visit the page from a different browser or clear their browser cache they’ll be required to re-enter the password, but not otherwise.
Unfortunately WordPress.com does not have a facility for a members-only area requiring separate login. For that type of functionality you’ll need a self-hosted WordPress.org install, with the cost and other commitments that imply.
