Logged in but I can not edit my website.

I can see my previous work, but I can not create new pages, r edit old ones. When I select edit a page it takes me to a completely whit screen with no cursor. From the ‘My Site’ screen, the website seems to lock up when I select a page.
I was editing a page in my last session, which was only a few minutes before this issue started, wen my browser was interrupted by a popup window which I could not shut down. So I went into my Task Manager and closed all the internet applications. That shut down the pop-up window and now my internet browser is working fine but WordPress won’t let me edit my WordPress site. Have you any ideas as to what is going on here and how I can fix this?

Yes! It works. Thanks for the help. Was this error caused at my end or at the other end? I guess what I am asking is, “Is it likely that I might do something again that might trigger this or was it just a quirk?”
