Logged in but no info bar

The black bar across the top of my screen disappears when I am viewing my own blogs, and reappears when I visit someone else’s. I can go back and forth like this without having to log in again.
Also my posts appear to me as they would to a non-administrator, without the edit link at the end. And my visits are tallied in the stats, even though it is a public blog. But I still have administrative capabilities, I just have to approach my stats by entering the url instead of clicking on sparklines.
Any thoughts?The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

just in case anyone’s interested, I have realized that the problem here is Safari. It is even less compatible with WordPress than it has been in the past. :(
