It sounds like you might be using the open source version of WordPress at another host, rather than WordPress.com. What is the URL of the site you’re trying to access?
Changing the domain on a stand-alone WordPress site has to follow a specific process. You can find the documentation for that process here, though many hosting providers have their own process for this via their hosting control panel.
