  The back story on this is a bit convoluted, but the immediate question is that we have the WordPress user name name (sflowers) for but we cannot re-set the password because the associated email was shut down at least a year ago. Thus, when I request to re-set the password, the email that is being contacted is not going anywhere. We assumed over the hosting of the site (which previously was http://www.thompsondryers.com)
  this fall. I have the gmail addresses for the company who previously managed the WordPress site, and I can provide their emails. We’re all stuck in getting into the WordPress files. :-) This transition from the other company (Thompson Dryers) to us (American Industrial Group) is all amicable, so it will be appropriate to bring them into resolving this, if necessary. We’re kind of stuck! Thanks!

  I’m not seeing any record of that domain or site ever being registered or hosted here at WordPress.com.

  Could you have built a site with the open-source WordPress software from WordPress.org and hosted it elsewhere?

  I did not build the original site, http://www.thompsondryers.com, which was hosted on siteground.com, and was built using WordPress (we don’t whether it’s wordpress.com or .org). The files now live at http://www.thompson-dryers.com with hosting service siteground.com. I have a user login name. What I am trying to accomplish is getting into the sql and php files to revise them. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!
