i have set my wordpress blog as my home page. when i open IE up comes my blog. How do I log in to add or make changes?? is there something on the page to let me log in – other than the create a new blog route??
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

If you aren’t logged in, you should see a log in box (Enter your username/password) in the gray Admin Bar at the top of the page.
If you are already logged in, in the Admin Bar you should see “My Account”, “My Blog”, “My Subscriptions”, etc. along the top. Click on “My Blog” to get to your Dashboard or hover your mouse pointer on “My Blog” and you should then see a set of sub-menus (Dashboard, New Post, etc.).

Helpful screenshot of the Log-in box on the WordPress.com Homepage
You mention IE. Hopefully you mean IE 8. If not, please update your browser or better still download and use Firefox from Mozilla.
You can use the link example that tsp has mentioned, but I would make one small change so that you are logging in securely and that is change http to https

thanks ok thesacredpath’s suggestion gets me a login page – but when my homepage appears it doesn’t have a grey bar accross the top of the page. I have to go to a separate login page. maybe I am expecting something i shouldn’t be expecting???

If you are not logged in and never have you don’t get the grey bar at the top of your home page, you need to log in as TSP says (or from the https://wordpress.com/ home page). I think WordPress must set some cookie to say that you area a user after your first login and then display the bar if you need to log in again.

Yes i usually login from the page TSP suggested because i don’t have a grey login bar on top of my page. I have logged in countless times – and at last have set up my blog site in a usable manner – took a while but i am now happy with the setup – and just dont understand the login process??
