Logging In
-
I was trying to write a new post, but was asked 6 times to log in, and the post content was lost each time. I was already logged in. When I tried to get help I was asked to log in again. I cleared the browser (Microsoft Edge), but was asked to log in several more times. I switched to Chrome and had no problems. Edge always has issues so can I assume that there isn’t a problem with my account, but that Microsoft is the culprit?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi –
Yes, it sounds like the version of Microsoft Edge is not compatible. I’d suggest to continue with Chrome or Firefox.
Get back to me if you keep having this issue though.

These problems started when I recently opened separate accounts for different blogs. I’ll be commenting as one blog, but prompted to log in as another blog even though I’m logged out of that account. In an earlier thread we figured that it was an issue with cache and cookies. Today, there were several likes in my inbox, but they all linked to adult websites. I’m working on that problem now.

Hi –
Our Security team is actively working to fight some new spam related to .sexy addresses. By any chance is that what you’re referring to? Could you share the site addresses with me here? Thanks!

Gosh, I deleted the WP notifications. The “spam” was a half dozen, or so, likes on comments I made on other blogs. Their Gravatar url all ended in .ru. For example, I recall this one:
Gravatar url:
https://en.gravatar.com/ssadek
This person liked a comment I made on bushboy’s photo blog:
The other “likes” similarly appeared on comments I made, but I can’t remember them.

Ok. Thanks for those details.
Our security team is investigating this spam. If you come across any other instances please add them to this thread. The more information we have the better we can track this stuff down. Thanks :)

Okay, thanks. I’ve tried to remember the others, but on that day I had over 50 WP notifications. The one that I sent you is linked to an inactive site, but the others linked to active adult websites.
