Logging on, email/password option flies by
-
Hi, when I log on, I see a log on with email/password option, but it flies by so quickly, it’s on the screen for literally a few seconds.
I’d much prefer to log on with an email/password, rather than having to go back and log on to my email just to get a code to copy/paste back into wordpress.
I’ve looked under settings and don’t see any options to select for log-on preferences.
Is there a way to set this up? Is it because my account is private now, and not public?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Good Morning –
This scenario is not affected by your site’s privacy setting. To me, it sounds like your login credentials are being saved by the browser. There’s a box you can uncheck at the sign in screen that says “keep me logged in”. That box pretty much exists for any sort of account you’re signing in to online. Another potential reason would be if you have a password manager installed which would automatically pull your credentials from its vault and sign you in.
Test this by going to WordPress.com and signing in through a different browser or incognito/private browser window to see the difference in the behavior.
