Logging on to client's account

I have a WordPress.com account, and I’m doing some work on the site of a client who also has a WordPress.com account. She uses Jetpack for social media, but is a WordPress novice.

I want to go in and check to make sure her social media settings are correct, but I don’t want to mess up her settings. When I log on, it offers me the opportunity to log on with my WordPress.com account. I don’t know the password to her WordPress.com account.

If I don’t log in to WordPress.com at all, I can’t see the social media settings. But I don’t want to automatically reset the settings to my social media channels or to disconnect her channels. I just want to see if they’re correct.

I’m not sure why you folks decided to make it a user connection to WordPress.com instead of a site connection. But my question is whether it’s possible to check **her** settings when logged in as myself.
