I keep entering my CORRECT password and it won’t let me in. So I change it and enter the new one. It works a few times, then locks me out again. So I change it again. What’s going on? This is such a frustrating site.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

That`s strange indeed. Please work through what follows and report back.
1. If you are not running one of the browsers and versions listed at http://browsehappy.com/ please try upgrading or switching first.
2. If you are using an IE browser in compatibility mode please disable that mode. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/internet-explorer/use-compatibility-view
3. If you are running one of the browsers and versions listed at http://browsehappy.com/
(a) Try clearing your browser’s cache http://www.google.com/support/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=32050
If applicable see here for instructions on how to clear the cache for Chrome and Safari on the iPad:
http://browsers.about.com/od/howtousemobilebrowser1/ss/safari-ipad-clear-cache.htm
http://browsers.about.com/od/howtousemobilebrowser1/ss/How-To-Clear-Browsing-Data-In-Chrome-For-Ipad_6.htm(b) Make sure that you have both third-party cookies enabled and JavaScript enabled
http://en.support.wordpress.com/third-party-cookies/
http://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=12654(c) Disable all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily.
(d) Try enabling HTTPS: http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/
Add both *.wordpress.com and *.wp.com to your list of trusted sites under the Security tab. Make sure to uncheck the box for “Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone.” http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/#frequently-asked-questions
4. You can use this link to see if your flash is up to date. http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ If it’s not then go to http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/ and download and install the latest version of flash.
5. Try using another browser.
6. If you are not successful let us know:
(a) Exactly what kind of device you are using to connect to the internet and to WordPress.com.
(b) Exactly which browser (and version of it) you’re using by checking here if necessary http://supportdetails.com/
(c) Exactly what you experience including what any error reports you receive state. -
I appreciate you trying to help, but that is all Greek to me. I’m just trying to login. It shouldn’t be this difficult.

Are you still having trouble logging in? I’m not sure what could be happening to cause the behavior you describe. If you’re still seeing this happen, I definitely want to figure out what’s causing it.

So far it seems to be okay with the latest password I set. But now when people google my url (beachbooklover.com) all of my WP forum posts come up. Should this be happening? Is it because my user name is the same as my url/blog name? I don’t want these posts visible. Also other analytic kind of information comes up.

I clicked on that link but I don’t see a contact form or a place where I can select “private.”

You’ll need to go through the steps there to submit a private support request. Start by selecting “This is a new issue I’m having”.

Hi, in 2010 I started a blog called spoondogblog.wordpress.com … I have several other websites and after a few months, I stopped posting to spoondog blog. But now I’d like to revive it and I have no idea how. I have a WordPress username and password, but it doesn’t seem to have any effect on my spoondog blog. It’s like WordPress doesn’t recognize me as the owner of spoondog blog. I’m sure I had the keys to the spoondog kingdom at one time, but I’ve lost them. What to do? Please help. Thank you.

hi jennypennifer!
If you know the email address you would have used to start that site, please use our password recovery form here:
https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
If you don’t, let me know and I’ll start the recovery process with you.
In the future, its always better to start a new thread rather than jumping onto someone else’s. It makes it easier for both staff and our volunteers to help and triage. :)

Hi Shawna, sorry for the breach of protocol and thanks for the link. I hope it’s okay if I answer this here instead of starting a new thread. The problem isn’t that I can’t log in to WordPress dot com; I’m logged in. In fact, using the link you provided and using the only other email address I could have used to start that blog, and having changed my password, I successfully re-logged in to WP. But when I try to log in as admin on spoondog blog, I get this error message:
You are logged in as “lambiepie” and do not have the necessary privileges to access the dashboard for “Sp00ndog Blog”. If you are not “lambiepie”, please log out, and log back in with your username. If you are “lambiepie” and you need access, please ask an administrator of the site to invite you.
But even though I am the administrator, I can’t invite myself because I’m not logged in. So I guess I need more help. Again, apologies if I have confused anyone on this thread. Thanks.

No worries! We can get you straightened out. The blog spoondogblog.wordpress.com is not owned by the account jennypennifer or lambiepie. I’ve sent you a private email so we can hopefully get you access to the correct account. :)
