  I can’t login to my wordpress.com admin from my website, this has happened multiple times and I don’t know how to rectify it, as far as I’m aware I am entering the right login details but it says that it is incorrect, I don’t have my FTP details either so I can’t access it that way, I am in need of urgent help please.

  if I try to reset my password via email this is what I get

  Error: The email could not be sent. Your site may not be correctly configured to send emails. Get support for resetting your password.

  Hello, I’m sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your website. However, your site is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted with Hostgator.

  To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/

  WordPress.org has complete documentation for self-hosted/installed versions of WordPress.org at https://wordpress.org/support/ and support at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/

  And, they do have some options for you at https://wordpress.org/support/article/resetting-your-password/

  ok thanks for your reply, im still confused as I normally use the http://www.winns-plumbing.com/wp-admin to get to my login page, this is where I am struggling to login and also not being able to receive any lost password reset links to my email

  Hi @wpheating, if the password reset isn’t working, your host may be able to see why. They can check their server to see if the email is getting stuck, for example. Or they may be able to help you make backups and use one of these recovery options:

  Then, if you need more help, head to the forums for self-hosted sites at https://wordpress.org/support , since these forums are for the free sites hosted here at WordPress.com. Here’s the difference between our services and your installation of WordPress with another host:
