Login disconnected from account

I am having to use my personal WordPress account to try to figure out this problem for my company.
I just inherited the responsibility of dealing with the company site, and there’s an issue literally from login.
We can only login to our WP dash from a specific link, in this case, DOMAINNAME.com/wp-login.php
If I try to login from the regular WordPress interface, it says no account exists with the username I input, even though it’s the username found in settings.
I’m not sure where or how this disconnect happened. Any thoughts?

Just figured out through reading some other forum topics that we are considered “self-hosted” as we are using Elementor. Honestly I hate the plugin but the site is primarily built on it. I’m guessing this may have something to do with the login disconnect. Any ideas on how to fix this?
