Login Email no longer valid

  I set up a WordPress account a few years ago and had two sites through it. I haven’t been on in ages but had noticed one of them–which I used as an online portfolio and was premium–no longer came up when I typed in the link. I tried to log in but ended up creating a new account (which I’m on with now) because apparently, I used a different email for my original one. This really confused me until it dawned on me that the other email must have been my college email which is no longer valid. I think they just deleted by premium site but now I can’t log into the free one because I can’t reset a password with an email that doesn’t exist anymore!! Is there any way to recover this account or will I be forever locked out!?

  I’m so sorry I’m just seeing this now! The notification got buried in my email.

  peaceoutpurdue.wordpress.com

  and kdpeterson.com — I have a feeling this may have expired as it doesn’t come up when I search for it anymore. Peaceoutpurdue still comes up when I search.

  peaceoutpurdue.wordpress.com is connected to a different account than kdpeterson.com. It looks like you have 2 different user accounts and that is probably contributing to the confusion felt.

  I could have sworn that they were tied to the same account. Also, my email didn’t receive verification. I’m worried that the verification is going to that college email that isn’t active any longer. Is there a way to respond privately so I can show you what two emails I have? I probably shouldn’t post them on the forum.

  @kapthewriter actually you can go ahead and share them here: email addresses are automatically hidden from public view so only staff can see them.

  That said, I think if you previously had a domain, you might be better off going an account recovery route. I’ll reach out via email (the one you see here: https://wordpress.com/me/account) with your options.
