Why am I getting this error after signing up for an account and trying to login:
The page isn’t redirecting properly
Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.
* This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.

As you both seem to already have accounts (you’ve posted on here) I suggest that you both go to your dashboard and report the fault through feedback.

Sorry, Dr.Mike, but I am having the same problem as the above two folks. I’m getting the same message from Firefox and as for going through the Dashboard, I cannot get to that page. Thanks for the help.

OK problem solved, I found the answer on other posts. It’s just that it wouldn’t let me into my blog page and the instructions were to report it on feedback or forums. I couldn’t find feedback so came here.

Actually, I scoured the OLDer forums, and well… it was as simple as clearing the cookies. Thanks bud.

Got a link? (I remember someone suggestings the shut down and restart Firefox solution but others said that it didn’t work for them)

I’m a newcomer and this is my first blog; with firefox I’m getting the “isn’t redirecting” message and with explorer I’m getting nowhere; it is quite frustrating! what should I do? tks

If you are having trouble logging into your WordPress.com blog through the admin bar that sits at the top of the screen when you are logged in, then manually type in the URL to the login screen:
http://yourblogname.wordpress.com/wp-admin/At least for me, the problem is with the Admin Bar not the WordPress Administration Panels.

I can’t get to anything having to do with the blog, no matter which link I use. It sticks in a redirect loop.

ok I had that cookie problem with logging in, but it seems to be okay now. But now I have another problem. Whenever I want to get into my Dashboard (I’m new so I’ve never even been in it) It takes like 10 minutes to load and then says page cannot be displayed. It’s not my Internet, I know this for a fact, so please help?

Songbird, can’t help you if you don’t mention what browser and version you are using. :)
Five bucks says Firefox though. It appears to be having issues. (Never say you know something for a fact. There’s no such thing.)
I mention a way to contact staff a few posts up. You might want to contact them via this method.

Whenever I try to log into my site, I get a pop-up window that says “you are about to directed to a site that is not secure…” I click “yes,” that I want to proceed, but the same window keeps popping up. Finally I click “no” and then click on “home” from the wordpress.com home page, and I get directed to my blogs. I’m using internet explorer xp. I deleted my cookies and the problem persists.

This is being worked on. In the meantime:
Go to http://wordpress.com
Enter your details
You will then see a Redirect error from the browser
In the browser address bar, enter
http://wordpress.com
and click Go (or press Return)
You should then appear inside wordpress.com but with a Welcome message and your blog being a clickable link.In IE (if you use that), you need to say Yes to the first security warning, No to the second and then change the address bar as above.
