login error. IP getting flagged.

  none of my users were able to log in to my site. on entering login credentials, it gave the message of ‘password wrong’. and after repeated attempts, it said, ‘your ip has been flagged for potential security violations. please try again later’.
  i was using a plugin named ultimate member.
  i tried logging in through wordpress original login window and found the same issue (password wrong).

  i was finding the same issue while logging in to wp-admin. after messing with some settings, i was able to solve the wordpress login issue.

  my users are also able to login through wordpress login form, but while trying to log in via ultimate member login form, it says the same message of password wrong, followed by ‘ip flagged’ message.

  i cleared all the cache, i used other plugins that allowed frontend login, but got same problem with all of them.
  users can register but not log in.
