i had a company hosting my website and gave me credentials to login to word press but now i cant log in and the hosting company wants to charge me to reset my word press account.

It sounds like you are using the self hosted version of WordPress, WordPress.org:
We are only able to help with WordPress.com sites on these forums. Your username and password are stored on your host’s servers, which means we do not have access to that information. Therefore, you will need to speak to your hosting company about the password reset process.

Thank you. I did speak to them they seem to be going to transfer my domain name to my name. How can i have word press open to be able to edit and host my page? Do i create an account and add the page? i was using word press until they locked me out. Any feed back is much appreciated Thanks

You are using the open source version of WordPress, so we cannot help you with this as we have no control at all over your site.
The login credentials for your site are stored directly in the site’s database on your host’s servers. Most hosting providers provide FTP and database access as part of your hosting plan, meaning you can do things like reset your password yourself by following the official documentation for the WordPress software, here:

Some hosts only offer that access on certain hosting plans, though, or they charge extra for supporting the WordPress software even though you could actually do something like resetting your password yourself if you just know how. It sounds like you’ve run into the second scenario here.
You’ll need to speak with your host to find out exactly what access you have via their systems, and what support is included in your hosting plan with them and what’s extra – we don’t even know who is hosting your site, so we cannot advise you on that at all.
