I have a WordPress blog that I use to update my website, http://www.thisladyspeaks.com. The username I use along with the password I use works when I use my old computer, but, when I use my new computer, they refuse to work. Let me be clear: this is not the username I use for that blog. The wonderful thing about WordPress is that you have to sign in to get help, but, if I could log in, I wouldn’t need help.

So, here’s the question: why can I log in on my old computer and not my new one when I use the same log in page on both? I supposedly don’t have to download anything or maintain mysterious php files using the .com instead of the .org.

I don’t want to put my personal log in information for my site on here (because it’s entirely dumb to do so), so I was hoping that someone could give me an answer that would suffice or that this problem could be resolved via email.

You did not specify a blog address or reason for posting when you created this topic.

This support forum is for blogs hosted at WordPress.com. If your question is about a self-hosted WordPress blog then you’ll find help at the WordPress.org forums.

If you don’t understand the difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org, you may find this information helpful.

If you forgot to include a link to your blog, you can reply and include it below. It’ll help people to answer your question.

    This is an automated message.

As I stated above, I am interested in getting help for my blog that is on my website, thisladyspeaks.com.

Read it again: you’re in the wrong place.

While I appreciate your response, raincoaster, I did read it and it’s still a little above my head, technically speaking. Maybe I’m an idiot, but I’ve tried to log in everywhere I know of including wordpress.org, wordpress.com and through copying and pasting the web address where I can log in on my other computer. I’m sort of at a loss as to what else I can do. Regardless, everything worked perfectly fine on my other computer and my log in refuses to work no matter where I post it.

So, maybe someone could point me to where I can log in or help me to otherwise unravel this problem as the article referenced above hasn’t cleared up my problem.

    Thank you.

Your blog is not hosted here.

    Try:

    http://www.thisladyspeaks.com/wp-admin
    or
    http://www.thisladyspeaks.com/wordpress/admin

    Raincoaster,

Thank you. The second one worked. Much appreciated.
