Login not possible

  Hi, Login on my WordPress Website is not possible in cause of a critical error on website. No email received for further instructions. I am unaible to retrieve wordpress admin email adress. Never changed the admin email in personal account. Probably the critical problem is in cause of broken plugins or missing updates to the theme (about 3 years old) or the wordpress version (last update september 2022). Without a login I can’t fix the problems. I am desperate and don’t know my way around very well. So what can I do? please help! feuergruen(at)gmx.de

  Hi, many thanks for the answer. the Url is http://zaradekis.de/ – I didn’t get the difference between wordpress hosted and open-source wordpress software.

  Yes, it can be a bit confusing as there are three different “WordPress” out there:

  1. The free, open-source WordPress software which powers your website.
  2. WordPress.org which is the open-source project that works on the WordPress software and where you can get the software for free to use on your own hosting provider.
  3. WordPress.com which is a managed hosting provider of the WordPress software and with whom you’re contacting now.

  The good news is that because you use the open-source variant of the WordPress platform (which functions differently than what we offer here on WordPress.com), help is available at the community forums here:

  https://wordpress.org/support/forum/how-to-and-troubleshooting/

  The folks in the open-source forum are more familiar with these issues and are in the best position to help.
