Login not working for plugins

  I noticed 2 images on my homepage are not displaying. I logged in to admin. Everything looks different. I went to plugins as I think this is where the images are (couldn’t find them on the ‘About Me’ page). I was in there recently to update all the plugins (maybe the cause of missing images?), but this time it says “Remote management is required to see this page.” with a button to “Turn on remote management” I clicked the button, and it asked for my login details again. It said the login details were wrong even though I just logged into admin with them. I requested a new password incase a separate password was needed for plugins now. I clicked the reset password and created a new one. It wouldn’t work!

  I was able to keep moving around admin for the tabs I still had open and can go to admin automatically without entering a login, presumably on my old password (not sure how long this will last), but can’t get to plugins.

  Help, my website’s sitting there with two missing pics, making me look stupid. Clicking any ‘Get Help’ buttons is just taking me round in circles and I can’t get any WP help with this at all. How do I access my plugins now? He-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-l-l-l-l-l-lp…! Anyone? x

  Thanks auxclass. I thought it was .com, but it does sound like it might be .org. I’ve reposted on the .org forum…

  Hi auxclass and anyone else who can help…? The .org forum was no help, and I am definitely logged in to .com admin, not .org. I login at https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php. Then when I click on ‘Turn on remote management’, it takes me to http://www.gastropod.co.uk/wp-login.php?redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.gastropod.co.uk%2Fwp-admin%2Fadmin.php%3Fpage%3Djetpack%26configure%3Dmanage&reauth=1 and I get another login page. I enter the new login details and it won’t accept them.

  Aside from the login not working, I don’t understand why I’m being taken away from the normal admin/dashboard now, when before I could do everything in the same place.

  I’d be extremely grateful if an anyone help….

  Please, please can anyone help? I need to fix the broken images on my homepage and simply cannot get in to my plugins.
