Login page in foreign languages

  For the last few days every time I go to log in to WordPress.com the login page comes up in a foreign language: German on my laptop and Spanish on my tablet. Fortunately I speak other languages, but I was just wondering why this is happening. Is it to advertise that “WordPress.com ist jetzt verfügbar in Deutsch” (“now available in German” as I saw on here) or is something buggy? I haven’t changed any settings and couldn’t see any forum posts. Many thanks.

  The same thing has happened to us here at work and on my home computer. Mine was first in Basque then in Farsi!! Sent in a Staff support request noting that the admin page had a redirect attached to the .php?

  “I keep getting logins in different languages? and this https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwordpress.com%2F”

  At one point I tracked the redirect to URL BLOG> Saioa hasi

  However, if I went back to the login and deleted everything after the real opening string I could get in. Not sure I want to though!!

  Is this a major hack?

  I thought this was only happening to me.

  I type wordpress.com in my broswer, I get redirected to zh-ch.wordpress.com. Fine, sure, my web browser is set to English and Chinese. But it is set to traditional Chinese, so the correct redirect would be zh-tw.wordpress.com if WordPress was reading my browser information correctly. If I click on the login button and then get rid of the “zh-ch”, the page returns in English. My wordpress.com settings are in English.

  It wasn’t until I read this that I knew it was happening to other people, and in different languages!

  Thanks, still there this morning, not an inconvenience for me, I speak German too! I was just concerned you should know in case it was a hack.

  Unfortunately it still happened when I logged in today. After I saw your post, I cleared all browser data including the cache, and tried again, but still got zh-ch.wordpress.com.

  If it helps, I’m running the latest version of Chrome.
