Login problem: no activation email because of email address typo
-
I must have a typo in my registered email address, because I’m not getting the activation email. But I cannot login to change it until I validate my email, so I’m stuck. When I try to login using my email address I get an error saying the account does not exist, so clearly there is a disconnect between my username and email address. I tried the login recovery form, but I host my blog on a 3rd party hosting plan so the form is rejecting my submission because there is no WordPress.com blog at the URL given.
I cannot just abandon the account because I have already purchased a Jetpack and Akismet license.
I have created this account just to try and get in contact with support, but since it’s not my paid accountit seems that I can only post to the community forum. I have the transaction IDs for Jetpack and Akismet on my credit card. How can I recover my account and fix my email address?

Good morning –
I’m happy to get you pointed in the right direction for help. The account you are using here is activated appropriately. Please let me know what site you’re working on and I can proceed with more information. Thanks :)

The account I’m trying to recover is (redacted), the site is “OnePersonCares.com” and the email address should be (redacted)
Transaction IDs:
(redacted)The site is hosted with SiteGround, I have no problems accessing the site. I need to recover this account with WordPress.com to admin my Jetpack and Akismet licenses.
I believe this is a public forum, so could you redact any private or sensitive information for me?
Thank you.

Hi dracoboy25,
I’ve sent an email to the address on your dracoboy25 account with more information about the next steps.
I’ve redacted the transaction IDs you shared here as these forums are a public place and content can be indexed by search engines.
Please let me know if the email doesn’t come through.

Thank you! My account has been recovered successfully.
Would you redact my username and URL from my previous post? I cannot edit it myself.
