Login problem – two blogs

  I’ve just done something stupid :-(

  I set up two blogs on wordpress.com with similar names.

  When setting up the second one it asked for a different email address from the first one.

  I then logged in to the second one and changed the email address to that of the first one. As a result when logging in to the second one it now takes me to the dashboard for the first blog. If I try to login in to the second blog whilst logged in to the first I get the message “cheatin’ uh?”

  I can no longer access the dashboard for the second blog.

  Can anything be done about it?

  Here’s hoping?

  Volunteers answering support questions here on the WordPress.com support forums, which are only for free hosted WordPress.com bloggers, cannot assist any blogger who does not provide an active links starting with http:// to the blogs, posts or pages in question. Please provide specifics re: URLs.

  I changed the email address of the latter blog to that of the first blog. Now when I try and login to the latter it takes me to the dashboard for the former.

  Is there anything I can do?

  When you setup the two blogs they were setup with two different email address and are currently tied to two different WordPress.com accounts.

  User Account: ww1wardiaries
  Blog: ww1wardiaries.wordpress.com

  User Account: ww2wardiaries
  Blog: ww2wardiaries.wordpress.com

  If you would like both blogs to appear under one of your two accounts follow the steps listed for: Transferring Your Blog to Another User or Account

  It seems to me from what is posted that the OP wants both blogs to be administered under the respectively named separate users, but wants the EMAIL address to be the same for both users … like this:

  User Account: ww1wardiaries
  Email: (email visible only to moderators and staff)
  Blog: ww1wardiaries.wordpress.com

  User Account: ww2wardiaries
  Email: (email visible only to moderators and staff)
  Blog: ww2wardiaries.wordpress.com

  So the question MIGHT be: is it allowed to register two different userids using the same one email address? I’ve wondered this myself, but did not want to “burn” a blog name to test it.

  Oops, forgot that email addresses get redacted. Staff might get to see them. For everyone else, both emails are exactly the same, and use the example.com domain (e.g. not any real address).
