Login Problems

  I’m having trouble logging into wordpress.com using both Chrome and Firefox on a Mac. Chrome goes to a “webpage is not available” after entering username and password, and Firefox simply hangs. This appears to be an issue on multiple computers. Logging in with Safari (on Mac and PC) and Internet Explorer (on a Windows 7 PC) appear to be OK. I’ve tried deleting cookies, caches and browser history with no luck. Even trying to sign up for a new blog doesn’t work on Chrome or Firefox doesn’t work. Any suggestions?

  what about your firewall? try disabling it

  You must be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard.

  Nobody is going to email you the email you need to use to sign in. What would be the point?

  It appears something further up the chain in our district’s firewall and filters was switched (unbeknownst to me), blocking my login access. I can log in fine from other locations when internet is not supplied through our filters/firewalls.

  I believe we can mark this topic as closed as it is not a WordPress problem. Thanks all for your suggestions.
