I am using Safari 9.1 on a MacBook Pro with el Capitan 10.11.14
I tried logging into wordpress using my iPad, too. It resulted in the same wordpress logo in grey.
I have followed your instructions concerning Flash, cookies, etc. Could the problem be something within my site?
Thanks for your help!

Well, I just tried firefox 47 and got the same wordpress logo. Ugh! Not sure what to do.

@cazehner hmm :( Do you have any programs that could be blocking scripts?
Is your internet connection pretty solid?
Also, just to confirm, what version of flash are you using now?

Thank you so much for your interest in helping me. When firefox didn’t work, I contacted Apple Support and they walked me through some adjustments to my settings and a much need update. So I’m back!
I really did appreciate your quick reply and helpful suggestions. You rock! -
Sure. I had Private Browsing enabled so I turned that off. Then I updated my browser and the problem seems to be fixed. I hope that helps someone who has the same problem.
