Login problems

  Hi there,

  My live site is http://www.deirdrelangan.com
  To login I go to http://www.deirdrelangan.com/wp/wp-admin

  When I try to login, my username is not recognised. My website is down & I cannot access it. I have tried disabling theme but to no avail.

  I have a cloned staging site at https://www.deirdrelangan.com/wp/backup/presearchrep/wp-admin/
  This is working fine. I can login & my cloned (testing) website is accessible & working fine as you can see here https://www.deirdrelangan.com/wp/backup/presearchrep/

  If I knew how I’d just overwrite https://www.deirdrelangan.com/wp with https://www.deirdrelangan.com/wp/backup/presearchrep/

  Does anyone know how I could achieve that?

  The inital problem was caused by the wp-staging (plugin) support team. They do not know what they did to break it & nor do I.

  I have an IT background so should be able to follow instructions, tho my expertise was not in websites (but Oracle).

  ANY help much appreciated!
