Login problems with Clef replacement
-
I replaced Clef with Authenticator. At login, I enter my username and password, then QR code appears. I scan this with my phone app and see green tick both onscreen and on phone. Then it returns me to the login screen, then to Authenticator, then login screen and so on. Seem to be in a loop and can’t access my dashboard. What can I do?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there
You are asking in the wrong place! http://lifeontheedgeofthecliff.com/ is hosted at GoDaddy. Help for sites not hosted here at WordPress.Com may be found at: https://wordpress.org/support/ They have the expertise to help youBlogs that are not hosted at WordPress.com are what we call here a self-hosted blog, or sometimes a WordPress.Org blog.
It is easy to be confused by this. The WordPress software is written and maintained by the WordPress.org community, and is the blogging software that is used by over 25% of the web! Because of their commitment to Open Source code, ease of use, and popularity, WordPress software is installed by many hosting providers for use by their subscribers.
Automattic owns the hosting service known to us as WordPress.com.
BUT the software that you are using on your self hosted blog has no real connection with WordPress.com, beyond the name. They don’t talk to each other (even though they are on good terms).https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ explains many of the differences between self-hosted and sites hosted at WordPress.Com
https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_vs_WordPress.com is a more who is who explanation.Hope that helps you get in the right direction!
