Login with updated email address

  I updated my email address successfully but when I use the new email address to log in, it tells me that it is not my user name or that there is no username with that email address. I have a username too but it says you can log in with Email Address OR User ID.

  Was I mistaken to think it could log in with the email address too? I don’t remember how it worked in the past although I do know how to log in with the User ID.

  I am wondering why I am having to ask this in a forum showing my username if this is public? Is this protected from google?

  Regarding whether you can log in with an email or username, in many cases an email address will work. But a username will always work, even in cases where an email address would not, so we recommend using that.
