Logins page and restricted content

  Hi, I need some help with my site, I want to create a custom login-registration system, where I am able to create the users but also giving the users chance to change their passwords. This is because I want to have restricted content on my page, a document database where only registered users can access, but I don’t want anybody to be able to register, only those who I give access by creating a profile for them and sending them the details and then they are able to change their password. Its a little complex but I hope someone can help. I am familiar with the Restrict Page plugin but like I said I need more than that
