logo

Hi, I have a logo I would like to add to my blog. I have tried doing it in a custome header but the image comes out huge (you have to scroll to see all of the image). I tried just adding an image widget but that requires a url and I want the image to be at the top, not in a side bar. Any suggestions?

  • Is the image uploaded to your media library of somewhere else that I could look at it? That would really help me in giving you advice on how to get it set up.

it;s on my sidebar right now; the compass and text.

  • So, the issue is that the theme you are using has a size requirement of 960 pixels wide by 250 pixels tall. The compass image you’ve got is just 256 wide. So the theme is going to stretch it to fit. The way around this is to use an image editing program of some sort to make a 960×250 image with a white (or grey) background. Then place the compass image on it in a way that looks good to you.

I mocked up something really quickly in Photoshop for you just as an example and uploaded it to your header images. You will have to mess around to find a design that you like.

    Does that make sense?

I am not concerned about this theme. I am just trying to find any theme with a logo feature at the top.

  • Well most themes will allow you to upload a header image that will allow you to use an image or logo. Though many of them will have the same issue of it being a wide/narrow layout.

If you are handy with CSS, you might be able to use the Custom Design upgrade to be a bit fancier with your layout. The CSS Customization forum is a good place to look for help or advice about anything CSS related:
