long comments not appearing

i have a problem
when I write a long comment in my blog sometimes they just show the first couple of lines and sometimes it didn’t appear at all.
thats happend with the long comments only, the short comments appeared perfectly
please help me to solve this problem

That’s very strange. I would send in a Feedback from your dashboard mentioning this.
Sometimes Akismet puts things into spam when they have a lot of links, but it shouldn’t post part but not all of a comment.

when I check the Akismet I found
“You have no spam currently in the queue. Must be your lucky day. :)”
even I just wrote a comment before less then an hour and it didn’t appears :(

I have also just experienced failure of a long comment to post on my own blog, though a short one did. I have meanwhile posted the comment as a post instead.

I just tried again to write the same comment again and it works. but i don’t know why that works now and it didn’t work last time

I left a step out too: when I tried to repost the comment I got a “duplicate comment” error message, even though the first attempt had not posted and still hasn’t. Nor did it go to Akismet.

Yes, I too, have noticed lately it takes some time for some comments to show up. It seems as if the cache needs to be updated. You post a comment yet it doesn’t appear anywhere. I get emails from commenters saying their comments disappeared but I can’t find them held for moderation or in Akismet. When I check for their comment I find it right there published. If you wait a minute or two and refresh the page, the comment will finally appear if you are the one posting. I agree it is strange.

It seems the long comment(s) was/were Akismeted, and there was a bit of a spam rush at the time too. Now all is back to normal and the comment is in place.

None of the comments on my blog appear to be showing up publically, even though I can see them in the Admin control panel

I think there’s a datacenter synch problem (meaning some of the servers have the latest image of your blog including comments and some don’t). Wait awhile or refresh your blog page and they should show up. Send a feedback anyway.

A reader of mine experienced something similar before. Apparently the issue was that he included a parenthesis like “<” or parentheses “< >” in his comment. A slash “/” might be a point of conflict too.
