Long division in Latex

Does WP support the longdivision package? If so, how? If not, is there other way to format long division?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
We support the LaTeX packages listed here:
If those do not include the functionality you need, you can also look at the LaTeX plugins that are available at https://wordpress.org/plugins/search/latex/
Should you decide to use an external plugin, we’ll also need to disable the LaTeX module on your site, so please confirm here or contact live chat support via https://wordpress.com/help/contact if we should do that.
Otherwise, please try a LaTeX-specific forum like https://latex.org/forum/ or https://tex.stackexchange.com/ for questions about using LaTeX itself, as we cannot help you with issues regarding the actual use and syntax of that language.

Hi ,
Hope u are doing good.
Long division packages are supported by WP ,you may try MathTex Equation Editor
which is a free and Open Source WordPress plugin .1.)This plugin can be used with a mathtex.cgi installation provided at:-
http://www.forkosh.com/mathtex.html or any other service that renders Math LaTeX.2.)To run mathTex.cgi installation on your own personal server, installation instructions can be found at http://www.forkosh.com/mathtex.html
3.)For a quick start guide on how to work with Math LaTeX, you can check on the guide for the syntax at http://www.forkosh.com/mimetextutorial.html
Thanks :)

Thanks for the reply – searching Latex or Tex resources does not help as they all say include the longdivision package, which I cannot seem to do (or am doing the wrong way), So it’s not a specific Latex question, but a WordPress one.

Thanks for the advice – a little concerned about what the WP guy said about disabling regular Latex – I have a lot of Latex content.
Might be reduced to doing this as an image.

Can you tell me what would happen to existing Latex content if you disabled the Latex module as you mention? Do I need to refactor it?

Hi Peter,
While we currently do not support the
longdivisionpackage in WordPress.com or Jetpack as @kokkieh mentioned your plan does allow you to install a third-party LaTeX plugin.Since installing an additional plugin may conflict with our built-in LaTeX we recommend disabling our module first by following this guide:
https://jetpack.com/support/control-jetpacks-modules-on-one-page/ (or contacting support)As long as the plugin you install has the same packages we have installed (or you install them yourself through additional plugins) your current LaTeX will be unchanged. Basically, you are replacing our copy with your own copy.
If anything does go wrong we keep site backups and our live chat support is here to assist you.
@shini1509 — Just wanted to note that the steps you are describing are for those who are running their own servers with the WordPress software installed. Here at WordPress.com we manage the servers and don’t allow.cgiextensions to be executed by site owners. You can find more on the difference between the platforms at: -
Hi,
Thanks for the reply. It all sounds like major work, which might compromise a number of pages / posts. So I decided to just draw it as per:

Thanks for getting back to us on your solution. I know using images isn’t as simple as straight LaTeX but agree that in this case, that’s the simplest solution.
Let us know if you need anything else.
