long loading

    I haven’t used WordPress since a few years ago. Then i just got back to WordPress dashboard but everything is still loading. Can’t see anything such as posts, my sites, and more. My websites and WordPress app still run very well.

    So what can I do?

    Glad to assist.

    I’m sorry to hear that. This could be an issue with the CSS style sheets not loading properly on the back end.

    You can try any of the following to see if one of them works:

    1. Clear cookies and cache to rule out the problem of these causing the problem.
    2. Ensure that your web browser is updated to the latest version and try loading with a different browser or even on incognito mode.
    3. Upgrade all themes and plugins on your site .
    4. Check if you have an issue with exhausting your web hosting’s bandwidth.
    5. Lastly,try loading the website from a different IP address.

    Hi,

    Just had a look at your site, and i can confirm that it takes a very long time to load.

    I noticed that you have 100’s of photos on the homepage, and when checking the size of the page noticed it was very big 35mb, and making 300+ requests.

    If you run your site through page speed checkers like GT Metrix, Pingdom Tools and Google Page Speed Insights you can get a better idea of whats causing long loading times. (Even if you don’t understand everything)

    If you didn’t want to change your website layout, i would strongly suggest Deferring off-screen images (Lazy Loading). You can find plenty of plugins to help with this.

    Also reducing the amount of unnecessary plugins, and multiple fonts being loaded will help.

    Hi @vpteng88 – as mentioned above, your home page is extremely long and loading many (great looking!) high-resolution images. All web browsers will have limits, and your site’s home page is reaching them.

    The most straight forward fix is to reduce the number of posts allowed to show on the home page (currently set at “6”) from within Settings > Reading : https://iamenteng.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-reading.php

    There are additional options if you are not sure you like this method. Let us know.
