Look for help about the capability of WordPress

    I am a student and will develop a system for my final year project. It will be a website with database of storing the IT problems, quotations and solution.

    Can WordPress link up to any database? I am worry about it cannot fit my objective and I had to pay for one year.
    If yes, is it easy to develop the system here as lack of programming skill?
    There will be a lot helpful for me to prove technology is evolved and the popularization of IT.

    Hi k0210,

    If you wish to have accesss to database ( to query via SQL ) then hosting your website on WordPress.com does not seem to be a good option as end-user doesn’t have any acces/control over database being used.

    You can go for self-hosted WordPress.org site. You can either install it on you local system ( if you do not wish to pay for hosting ) or you can opt for hosting providers like Bluehost, Dreamhost, etc.
    You’ll also get access to underlying code to make changes in your website as you need.

    You don’t have to be coding expert to develop a site here at WordPress, but if you do then it’ll be an advantage for you.
