Looking for a one page theme
-
I’m looking for a one page theme that I can use at wordpress.com. I can find a bunch of one page WordPress themes (e.g, http://athemes.com/collections/best-one-page-wordpress-themes/), but can’t seem to find any on wordpress.com. Suggestions?

Browse to see one column themes here http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/features/one-column/?sort=free
and activate it at > Dashboard > Appearance > ThemesThe only themes we can use on WordPress.com blogs like your blog are licensed and adapted to run on our multiuser software the themes are found here http://wordpress.com/themes/
There is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.com blogs for security reasons and we cannot:
upload any third party themes,
create child themes,
create our own themes,
edit templates,
create own own layouts,
or use stylesheets from other themes.Relevant support docs:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/ftp-access/
http://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/adding-new-themes/There is no upgrade you can purchase that changes that. WordPress.org offers free software that you can install on a web server. You can create themes, upload and install themes and plugins, run ads, and edit the database, etc. If you want FTP access and to install plugins or third party themes into a site then you will have to hire a web host http://wordpress.org/hosting/ and set up your own WordPress.org install.

I notice this 2011 site has no blogger created content http://dfahfha.wordpress.com/ if you are not referring to a WordPress.COM hosted blog then you are posting to the wrong support forum and we cannot help you.
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there.

Thank you for the info. However, a one-column theme is not quite what I meant by a “one page” theme. This is an example of the style I’m looking for:
http://themeforest.unitedthemes.com/wpversions/brooklyn/basic/
Specifically I’m looking for a theme where most of the links in the header are to content sections below on the main page, and that clicking those links results in a “scrolling” effect. (More examples of this type of theme are at http://athemes.com/collections/best-one-page-wordpress-themes/.)
I am aware of the difference between wordpress.com and wordpress.org, and this question is about wordpress.com. I see many one page themes I could use on a self-hosted wordpress instance, and I’m wondering whether there are any themes like this that are available at wordpress.com. (For example, I’m not specifically asking about the brooklyn theme that I linked to above, but other themes that have this same general style.)
Thoughts appreciated! Thanks!

While I can’t think of any single-page themes of the kind you’re looking for, you might want to check out Harmonic:
https://harmonicdemo.wordpress.com
The links in the footer (Latest, About, Explore, On Tour) link to sections on the front page that slide in.
