looking for a theme

  I want to find a theme that allows three columns of info on the front page
  IE. cycling / family/ winemaking-
  in which I can post in each column, and update as I need.
  like having three small blogs on one blog.
  is there such a theme?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  You may use Coraline, Oulipo, Digg 3 Column, and many more with 3 colums and customized header. Just go to you Dashboard > Appearance > Theme and browse your theme of choice. You can filter also the featured theme you like. For more info visit http://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/

  To add to what jsndaan said, you can certainly have 3 columns, but have “three small blogs in one”? Posts will still appear in the main column, no matter what theme you choose. The other two columns will contain widgets.

  I believe what you will want to create is a custom menu so look for that feature when you look at the themes and make your choice accordingly.

  There is only one dynamic page in a blog for posts and we cannot post to more than that one page. When we publish a post it automatically appears on the running page for posts and also on the Categories pages and Archives pages.

  We organize our posts by assigning Categories to them. Although there is only one dynamic page in a blog for posts and we cannot post to more than that one page, we can create the appearance we have done so by creating a custom menu. In that custom menu you will be displaying Categories in tabs along the horizontal navigation to achieve what you want.
