Looking for a theme where I can create sections in main page

I am looking for a theme (either free or premium) that allows my wordpress mainpage to display articles grouped in different sections –based, for instance, on a specific tag.
So, for instance, have a first box with 3-4 “latest” articles. Below them, 3-4 articles that have the tag “holidays”. Below them, 3-4 articles with the tag “transport”. And so on.
This is quite similar to, for example, what a Medium page does, I know… but this is for keep on publishing with wordpress. Anybody has any suggestion? Thanks a lot!

This definitely sounds like more of a premium theme feature.
Nikau comes to mind. On the demo site, the Top Stories, Spotlight, and Featured Videos sections are each a different category. About is a page (you can choose any page) and Latest Posts is your most recent posts. Note: The last section doesn’t have to have anything to do with videos – that’s just how the demo us using it :)
MH Magazine is another option – before purchasing that one though, be sure to thoroughly read through the setup page.
MH Magazine is one of the more advanced themes offered on WordPress.com from a setup point of view. The homepage is made up entirely of widgets (several of them unique to this theme) , so it’s quite different from other themes you’ve probably tried!
Another option, which will work on any theme, is the Display Posts Shortcode. You could Set a Static “Home” Page (Front Page), and use the shorcode to display posts from different categories. You can use the shortcode’s parameters to control the categories used and the layout of the posts. :)
